Ruth, an American journalist with a keen interest in her family’s history, decides to take her father, Edek, on a trip to Poland. The purpose of the journey is to visit the places where Edek, a Holocaust survivor, spent his childhood. Ruth hopes that by revisiting these locations, she can help her father reconnect with his past and perhaps heal some of the lingering wounds.
