When a young woman surprisingly becomes pregnant from a night she had with her quiet neighbor, she notices everything that is past her control. To achieve the desired sense of security, she then imposes herself in a wealthy person’s life. Masking her relationships towards her new life, she envisages a secure and comfortable future afraid of disobeying the baby’s father. Apart from the bonuses of the connection, the burden of the lie she is dealing with is immense to the point of ruining everything due to her being in so deep. The story finally resolves as a very intricate examination of both ambition and culpability, as well as of the emotional entanglements that appear when honesty (and honesty’s lack) and despair combine.
