My Fault: London 2025 is a place in the near future in London, where the tensions are on the rise and the personal issues are colliding. The story is about Emma, a young woman, who is strong and not willing to give in, even though she is just recently moved to the city in order to break away from her very troubled past. Having to adjust to the city and meet different people, Emma in her way meets Liam, who is a man of mystery but at the same time, he is very kind-hearted and he also has his secrets which are hard for him to cope with. They become closer through friendship and later form a stronger bond with each other as they both support each other on the road of recovery.
Emma’s brand new life goes through a whirlwind of events when her long-lost brother, Ben, suddenly makes a reappearance. The two of them had been best friends and eventually that friendship was broken because of the mistakes they made in the past and now that Ben comes back all those things come back and Emma starts feeling the old pain again. On top of that, Ben is connected to an emerging grassroots movement that is opposed to a regime, which is becoming more dictatorial and omnipotent in the city.
Between old ties of loyalty towards her family and a new life, Emma must ride the rapids of difficult options when a sudden shock makes her close relationships and safety hang in the balance. With London edging toward disorder, our heroes, Emma and Liam, come together aiming to protect those they hold dear to their hearts.
The movie gives us a deep understanding of forgiveness, getting a new chance in life, and inner strength through love and confidence. The film brings in danger with the narrative of the characters, Emma’s brutality towards herself leads to her journey of self-discovery and that’s how her resilience is developed.
